The Xikar Flip covers both ways to open a cigar in one tool. One end is a deep 64 ring gauge V-cut, the other a clean 64 ring gauge straight cut, switched with a side trigger.
The V-cut is built on the VX2 design, where an inverted stainless blade applies inward pressure on the cap as it cuts, which is what keeps the cap from expanding and splitting. It opens one-handed by squeezing both sides with your thumb and index finger and closes with a press on the spring-loaded top. The anodized aluminum body, offered in red, blue, gunmetal, brushed chrome, or black, is textured for grip, the bottom is texturized for stability on a table, and the curved top doubles as a cigar rest.
