Which shipping carriers does Cigar Nation use?
We've partnered with two trusted carriers - UPS and the United States Postal Service - to ensure your cigars reach you safely and efficiently. Depending on your location and the specifics of your order, Cigar Nation will select the carrier that provides the best combination of speed, reliability, and value for your delivery.
How much is shipping?
We believe great cigars shouldn't come with surprising shipping fees. Here's how Cigar Nation keeps shipping simple and affordable:
Our current special offer: Orders containing cigar packs and cigar boxes ship for just $5 with our standard domestic delivery service. Most orders over $85 automatically qualify for complimentary shipping.
For larger items like humidors or bulk orders, we'll personally reach out to discuss the most economical shipping approach for your specific needs.
Looking for faster delivery? We offer expedited shipping options during checkout for those times when you just can't wait to enjoy your new cigars.
If you're ordering accessories without cigars, our standard competitive shipping rates apply. You can always preview exact costs using our shipping calculator right in your shopping cart.
When will my domestic order ship?
Speed matters when it comes to fresh cigars. We process and ship orders with the urgency they deserve:
Place your order by 3:30 PM Eastern Time on any weekday, and we'll have it packed and on its way the same day. Orders received after our cutoff time ship first thing the next business day.
During national holidays, our team takes well-deserved time off. We'll always post any shipping schedule changes prominently on our website so you're never left wondering about your order status.
Does Cigar Nation require a signature upon delivery?
Every single shipment includes full tracking information so you can follow your cigars from our door to yours. Most orders arrive without requiring your signature, making delivery convenient and hassle-free.
However, certain orders do require signatures for security reasons - this includes high-value orders, oversized items like humidors, and exclusive limited-edition releases. If your order requires a signature, Cigar Nation will contact you beforehand to make sure someone will be available to receive your package.
How are cigars packaged for shipping?
Your cigars deserve exceptional care from the moment they leave our humidor until they reach yours. Here's how we ensure they arrive in pristine condition:
Individual cigars are carefully placed in protective zip-lock bags along with Boveda humidity packs to maintain optimal moisture levels throughout their journey.
Cigar bundles that don't have individual cellophane wrapping are packaged with Boveda humidity packs to preserve their freshness and prevent any quality issues during transit.
Bundles that come with cellophane wrapping typically ship in their original packaging, but if you prefer the added protection of humidity-controlled zip-lock packaging, simply add that request in the Special Instructions section when you check out.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
Absolutely! We can ship to P.O. Box addresses using USPS delivery services. Keep in mind that UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes with our current shipping methods, so if you select UPS shipping and provide a P.O. Box address, we'll need to contact you for an alternative street address.
For our first-time customers ordering high-value items to P.O. Boxes, we may reach out to request a physical street address for delivery. This additional verification step helps protect both you and us from potential fraud, ensuring your valuable cigars end up exactly where they should.
Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?
We're honored to serve military personnel stationed around the world. All APO/FPO addresses receive shipments via USPS Priority Mail service.
When placing your order, select "United States" as your country in the shipping address, regardless of where you're actually stationed overseas.
As a small token of our appreciation for your service, all military addresses automatically receive our free shipping benefit, even if your order total is under our usual free shipping threshold.
Do You Ship to Every U.S. State?
We ship to every state where tobacco delivery is legally permitted. Unfortunately, some states have enacted restrictions that prevent us from shipping certain tobacco products:
Complete shipping restrictions: Utah, Hawaii, South Dakota, and Wyoming do not allow cigar shipments.
Partial restrictions by state:
- Maryland and Washington State prohibit little cigar shipments
- Massachusetts doesn't allow flavored tobacco products
- Maine restricts cigars with homogenized or HTL wrappers, small cigars weighing 3 pounds per 1000 or less, and pipe tobacco
- Vermont prohibits small cigars weighing 4.5 pounds per 1000 or less
- Montana doesn't permit filtered cigar shipments
We stay current with all state and local tobacco shipping regulations to ensure full compliance..
Does UPS Deliver on Weekends?
Standard UPS service operates Monday through Friday. Saturday delivery is available through their expedited services, but it comes with much higher rates - typically running $90 to $100 for smaller orders.
Our standard checkout process doesn't include Saturday delivery options, but if you have an urgent need for weekend delivery, send us an email at info@cigarnation.com and our team will work with you to explore available options.
