Two sizes of Joya Silver have made Cigar Aficionado's Top 25, and the Joya de Nicaragua Silver Robusto (5 x 50) is the more recent one: No. 16 Cigar of 2021, rated 93.
This box-pressed robusto wears a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Mexican binder and Nicaraguan filler, made in Nicaragua. Dark chocolate, red pepper, cream and an earthy sweetness, at a medium-full body. The wider ring rounds off the pepper a little more than the Corona does. About 55 minutes, a Power Hour smoke on the Burn Clock.
