The name is the year it all started: H. Upmann dates to 1844. The H. Upmann 1844 Reserve Belicoso (6 1/8 x 52) carries that heritage in a tapered belicoso, with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican filler, made in the Dominican Republic.
Roasted nuts and sweet cedar come first, then leather and a peppery finish. The belicoso head narrows the draw and concentrates those flavors. It is medium-bodied, polished rather than punchy. At about 70 minutes, it is a Weekend Warrior™ on the Burn Clock.
A classic evening cigar for a traditionalist, or for anyone who wants flavor without heavy strength. An espresso, a hot chocolate or a single malt. Boxes of 25. Explore more Habano cigars and medium-bodied cigars.
